Today we are talking about intercourse frequency & intercourse timing.
Now one of the biggest factors in trying to conceive is going to be the timing of intercourse and the frequency of intercourse and luckily the majority of us have the ability to control that. Now your fertile window consists of a few days within your cycle that will be deemed as the best days to have intercourse for conception. Now considering that sperm can live up to five whole days, I know it’s crazy, five whole days and fertile CM (cervical mucus) in your ovum can live up to 24 hours.
This gives you six days of a fertile window of opportunity but, and a big but, the majority of women actually conceive within a three-day time span and that three days are the two days that lead up to ovulation and the day of ovulation making those three days the best days for conception.
Now let’s get back to frequency. Depending on which doctor you ask or book that you read, you will get one or two different responses.
First response being every other day and the second being everyday. Now some doctors will tell you every other day because the sperm deposit will be higher and the quality of the sperm tends to be higher. Whereas everyday, sperm count decreases with frequency. However, I think everyone could agree that any intercourse within your fertile window will increase your chances of conception.
